But I put that to one side because I felt the best approach was to write content that matched the quality written by major labels for globally recognised music acts. It worked: the BIO and Press Release writing helped secure main stage bookings at major festivals and features in prominent music review sites.

D. specialised in building websites using the Drupal platform. I leveraged the fact that an agency working with a single framework would be more experienced, have more reusable code to hand and could ultimately build sites faster. Faster builds mean less cost, quicker deployment and higher ROI.

I was really impressed by this system when I saw a demonstration. Especially the scale. But it was never going to be an instant sell. So I developed a tagline that brought the value of people into play. I then grouped the benefits copy into four distinct headers that represented the natural flow of career development:

Fresh out of Japan working with the Toyota Production System, this business started as a 2-man team set to help manufacturing companies implement lean manufacturing methodology. Research suggested that manufacturers didn’t just need to evolve to grow, they needed to ‘Evolve To Survive’. 15-years on, Project7 is a global team supporting some of the largest manufacturers in the world. And the tagline is still in use today, ingrained into the company’s culture.

These cool boxes keep your food, drink and produce colder for longer than any other product on the market. They’re also available in 11 funky colours. I created this tagline as a pre-cursor to the value proposition, which I felt was needed to prime the audience to expect a higher price-point.
